The 'Guru Jambheswar University of Science & Technology', Hisar, Haryana, was established on 20th Octobe, 1995. The University enjoys the recognision by the University Grants Commissions.

The University opted for accreditation by National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous organisation of the University Grants Commission. As a result, the NAAC accredited this Univesity, the "A" level (Intitutional Score 85%) among the universities for a period of five years beginning from the academic session 2002-03.
